Skeletons: choose the task in front of you
A skeleton is the assembly stage between excavation and a revived animal. Choose the finding guide when you are following discoveries, or the completion guide when you want to understand how the final useful piece changes the animal’s result. The overview keeps those stages distinct.
Repeated pieces can appear while other parts of the same skeleton are still missing. A familiar animal name therefore does not prove that a discovery advances the assembly goal. The duplicate guide explains that distinction before you decide whether a bone is unwanted.
Keep one unfinished animal as a session focus while accepting useful progress elsewhere. This organizes your attention without claiming that a target changes the next find. Once the animal is revived, move it out of the unfinished plan and choose another skeleton to pursue.

Skeletons questions
Does nearly complete mean the next bone will finish it?
No. Gameplay shows repeated pieces while a skeleton is still unfinished. A small remaining gap is not a guarantee about the next find.
What happens in the first completion example?
The final Chicken bone completes the skeleton and revives Chicken, which follows the player in the opening gameplay.
